[There is much scratching and moving noises before the screen finally clears up. It's pointed straight at the sky before things straighten out. There's a blur where an observant person might be able to recognize New Bark Town and then the trainer appears. She brings about a strange deja vu although it'd be super rare for anyone to actually remember her. She beams regardless, her backdrop a bit of water. There's splashing to be heard.]

Sweet, it's working! Oh, hey there. I'm... Dee. New here, although I keep hearing that's not a recent and spiffy development. Just figuring out this thing...

Still a bit lost, 'tho, I gotta say. [Judging by the laugh she gives, it has not even vaguely occurred to her to be bothered. At all.]

I don't suppose there's anyone out there who can point me in the right direction? Route 29 is looking like the only way out, but even one way streets can be tricky. Besides...

[Greed lifts a hand in greeting, an easy grin on his face. Lucky, of course being a bit over excited to have so many new friends with them on their journey, starts barking and bounds over to sniff the man approaching them and upon deciding he was no danger to his master, tries to beg for ear scratches. Greed doesn't do anything to stop this, looking quite amused]

Hey yourself, name's Greed. You must be Derek, huh? 's nice to meet ya. That little guy is named Lucky.

[After chuckling at the flattery, Dee waves as Derek joins them. His question has her hum and tap her own cheek in thought.]

Well, I've never specifically woken up in a strange world with little creatures which follow people around and can do things like breathe fire... But I know how to sew, and I'm used to walking around for a while. Oh! And I can tell you what berries'll kill you!

[Greed considers a moment, his smile waning just a tad. Since this did actually seem to be a whole different world with no alchemist, he didn't really need to worry about avoiding mentioning the fact that you could seal him. Besides, he just didn't get that shady feel from either of them.]

Well, I've kinda woken up like 2 centuries from when I last been, before, an' it wasn't too hard t' adapt. Think I read somethin' about there bein' gymnasiums here what we can win stuff from if we train these things. They kinda look like the chimeras from back home. Except they have special powers like I did.

[His grins again] As for what I c'n bring to the table, I'll have your backs so long as we're travelin' together, and I'm not gonna let nobody mess with my people. Plus, Lucky can breathe fire, so if we're roughin' it, we'll always have a fire. [Lucky, who has by now settled down at Greed's feet, pants happily as Greed scruffles the fur behind his ears.]

[Derek is silent, as 'Dee' and Greed speak. But he's definatly looking nervous about Greed, at least. Greed... had powers?! And Dee didn't seem too shaken by this... what in the world...?!]
Now that we've introduced ourselves... should we get going? I'll only be staying with you until Cherrygrove, but I'll teach you everything I can.
