[There is much scratching and moving noises before the screen finally clears up. It's pointed straight at the sky before things straighten out. There's a blur where an observant person might be able to recognize New Bark Town and then the trainer appears. She brings about a strange deja vu although it'd be super rare for anyone to actually remember her. She beams regardless, her backdrop a bit of water. There's splashing to be heard.]

Sweet, it's working! Oh, hey there. I'm... Dee. New here, although I keep hearing that's not a recent and spiffy development. Just figuring out this thing...

Still a bit lost, 'tho, I gotta say. [Judging by the laugh she gives, it has not even vaguely occurred to her to be bothered. At all.]

I don't suppose there's anyone out there who can point me in the right direction? Route 29 is looking like the only way out, but even one way streets can be tricky. Besides...

[She trails off, staring up at the cloudy sky.]

...Something seems up.

[Even if Envy wasn't really one to strike up a conversation with anyone, there was something unsettlingly familiar about this girl, and he doesn't like being unsettled for seemingly no reason.] Yeah, that path is the one. Takes a couple days to reach the next town.

Yeah, you seem familiar, or I wouldn't be talking to you. [He smirks. Someone who knew his name and claimed to know him? Frustrating, but if he could get her to tell him then this could get interesting. Whether because the girl 'knew too much' and he'd get to threaten someone, or maybe she actually did know him, in which case...he wasn't really sure what to think about that.] So, how long ago was this exactly, hm?

Aren't I just a lucky girl, then?

_{[It's easy to get on his bad side, but she's having fun. Besides, she hardly ever gets to have talks that lead to something not involved with her Family.]}

[The video screen is at an odd angle and Greed has a playful look on his]

Hey there, Dee, name's Greed. I'm on th' road outta town already. Need some company? Lucky an' me would be glad t' provide some. Don't really know what th' hell's goin on here, but that don't seem like too much of a problem t' me.

[Oh, she knew Dante too, and from a long time ago? This was getting even more interesting. Then again, she could mean a long time for a human.] Hmm? So are you one of her acquaintances then? I might've seen you around then. [Somehow, he didn't think that was it. But Dante had gone through a lot of bodies, and not all of her prospects stuck around long enough for her to kill them.]

Something like that.

_{[She shrugs a bit, 'what can you do' going unsaid.]}

She doesn't like seeing me often. If I didn't know any better, I'd say she's actively avoiding me.

_{[Wow, so many homunculi about! Still, it's a nice sight. Besides, who can resist shades like that?]}

I'd love to go along with you. Gimme a minute to pack up Ronmeer and I'll see you in a bit.

_{[More shuffling as the screen move, along with a few other things.]}

[There's something so familiar about her, and Sai usually has an excellent memory so he frowns in a concentrating way for a while before he realizes the video is on.]

The sky is strange, isn't it? No sun for days...

[He smiles though] The town down the road has lots of exciting places to eat!

[He snorts.] Yeah? Who are you, death? [He goes right on with thinking of who this could be, not having taken that guess seriously at all, because that would be completely ridiculous. Although the more he thinks, the more it makes sense with everything else. But still crazy. He might be half right though, what with the weird feeling he got from seeing her.] Are you human?

[Greed cracks a smile that seems to take up his whole face]

I'll see you then, pretty lady. When we get to a town, I'll buy us some drinks, huh?

_{[There's a beat, and then she's giggling into her hands. It takes her a moment to answer Envy's second and more serious question.]}

For this world? Well, if I want to get involved, I have to be human, don't I?

_{[Still smiling, she terminates the feed so she can finish packing up.]}

_{((OOC: Oh, it's part of his charm. XD I suppose that'd be the way to go. I'm still floundering about a bit, ignore me if I bumble up. XD; ))}

_{[She frowns for a moment, lost in thought. Just because she doesn't have her usual cosmic title on at the moment doesn't mean she's blind to signs. At the mention of food, she perks up again.]

Oh! That sounds wonderful! Is that where you're at? The town down the road?}

No... Kaiba-san was in a hurry, but we're not too far down the road, I think! I'm sure he'll stop at the next town for a while.

Great! Maybe me and Greed will see you soon, then.

I look forward to seeing you, Sai. _{[All smiles.]}

Oh, you do know me! But where have I...

[He trails off with that frown again but eventually shakes it off.]

What're you laughing at? That can't have been right.

[He frowns some, not liking feeling that he was missing some kind of joke on him, but then at what she says he shrugs] Depends on what you are normally. I sure as hell didn't have to get turned human like this. [And now there's some moar frownyface, although not directed at her.]

Wow, you're taking this better than most of the newbies do...

_{[Heather does tilt her head a little-- deja vu's right-- and something about this chick is pinging the ol' mental radar a little more strongly than it might for most, considering... well, considering how many times Heather has actually died. Lol reincarnation and rebirth lol.]}

Route 29's the only way outta that town, and it's a pretty straight shot to the next one.

Stay outta the tall grass unless you want your face gnawed off by mutant purple rats though.

[Greed cracks a wide smile and waves as he sees the woman approach. Funny, she seems very familiar, but he's sure he wouldn't forget a pretty face. Lucky barks as the new person approaches.]

Ah calm down, Lucky. You act like you never seen a good lookin' gal before. [Lucky calms a little and Greed looks back up from the houndour and grins again, lowering his shades a bit to get a better look at the woman.] Hey there, Dee. Say, might be kinda corny of me, but I can't shake th' feeling that I met you somewhere before? You ever been to Amestris?

Hmm. I was just me. How's that for a vague answer?

_{[She chuckles again before becoming a bit more serious.]}

If I'm not human, what do you think I am?

I have a bit of an advantage. This isn't the strangest thing I've been through.

_{[For quite possibly that exact same reason, "Dee's" smile softens a bit. It's back in its usual eternally perky state in seconds.]}

Ah ha! I knew there was a catch! Purple rats, got it. I'm on my way right now with a friend of mine. Are you in the next town too?

_{[For some reason, that gets a chuckle out of Heather. Man, ain't that the truth for a lot of people here! But this 'Dee' is probably one of the calmest thus far, even so. It's sort of refreshing. Heather... can't exactly claim SHE'D been the calmest upon arrival, after all-- despite her somewhat questionably-normal background.]}

Heh! Touche.

And nah. I've been here awhile. I'm a good long way from that cluster of shacks everybody shows up in. _{[She was hesitant to even call it a 'town'. It was more like a neighborhood.]}

But you'll hit that town after walking ... eh. Four days or so. S'not too arduous.
