[003] Video

[Dee has a look of quiet contemplation on her face as she turns on the Pokegear, but her trademark smile is back soon enough.]

Things have been a bit slow-going for me; turns out I twisted my ankle a bit last time. You know, I can't really say I like pain that much. Still, at least Ronmeer has been helping.

[The screen turns around, showing that she's sitting down against a tree. As it focuses on her ankle, a Magikarp just stares at the screen. Endlessly. Without blinking. Into your soul. Oh, and it's just kind of laying on her ankle.]

He makes a handy ice pack. Are all Magikarp supposed to be this cold?

[The screen turns away from the soul-staring devil fish (who may or may not be in a coma) and back to Dee.]

I think I'm getting close to the next town, so that's a plus! It'll be great to have a bed again. I wonder if this is what Heather was thinking about before?

((ooc: This is my excuse and I'm stickin' to it.))

[video] oh, ttly

[Lineface.] They're under the control of Lucifer. War has been stopped, as has Famine. Famine was weakened after meeting the Winchesters. I wouldn't know about Pestilence [...]. If the Winchesters' luck continues, I believe his fate will be much the same.

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Winchesters... Dean and Sam. [Smile smile smile. You couldn't stop her from doing it if you tried, Cas.] Stubborn boys.

A shame about those three. I imagine they're so disappointed. My youngest sister was so fond of War, too, or at least what he could do. Famine made my sister-brother laugh... Although that's really not a good thing.

But things end. [She shrugs.] That's how it is. [Despite her previous words, she doesn't seem particularly worried for the Horsemen.]

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes.

Eventually. But you know as well as I do that whatever the fate of the Four Horsemen is, it's not that simple. As for the Apocalypse; if it can be started, it can be stopped. Fate isn't quite as ...rigid as some might say. [He might be trying to convince himself more than simply having a conversation.]

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
It's amazing how simple things become if you stare at them from a far enough distance.

[The comment about fate has her smirking, but she doesn't say anything.] This conversation is becoming depressing. What adorable and-slash-or horrifying bite-sized animal companion do you have with you?

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
[Cue the rustling as she digs through her pack to find her Pokedex. One minute of listening to the robot voice later...]

...I think it's a great fit. Girls are going to love you.

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not--. I don't think that's the point.

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
The point is you need to smile more.

Although I am serious. Without powers here, other people will be important. Your adorable ball of fluff is important too, so treat her, or him, right.

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Sigh :c Yes, he's already discovered that the lack of teleporting? Means he has to have actual conversations that don't just end with him buggering off somewhere. It's all very awkward. He doesn't really get what smiling has to do with anything though; no-one's mentioned his lack-of-smiling before.

His expression may or may not give away some of these thoughts.]

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, Cas. Silly angel.]

...Need help with this 'being human' business?

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
[No. Maybe. Yes.]

There's a lot I'm still [...] unaware of. [It's mostly the 'emotions' thing, really.]

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Then shoot. I have a bit more experience with this than you do.

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Do you know how to take care of a human body?

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
[You feed it, water it, ...wait for it to mend itself when it gets hurt. Wash it. HE'S GOT THIS. In theory.] Yes.

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
There we go! Much better. [Yet that answer does not fill her with confidence, why is this.]

Now, I think we've already identified your social skills as nonexistent... Which I still say you should work on...

Do you have any practical skills? And I mean human-practical, not angel-practical.

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
[He's not completely incompetent! He might be okay! Totally ignoring the comment about his social skills. THEY'RE FINE, OKAY. They're at a relative peak.

He remains silent whilst he thinks about any practical skills he might have, and reaches this marvellous conclusion:]
I wouldn't know.

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Well you aren't supposed to compare them to the social skill peaks of SOCIOPATHS CAS. SRSLY.]

...Cas? How can you not know? Have you ever tried cooking human food? Do you know how to tie knots?

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
[He admits his social skills become rusty. THIS IS GOOD, FOR HIM.]

I've not needed to eat before. [Except that time with Famine, but then it was just fast food all the way.] I can tie knots. [WHAT COUNTS AS 'PRACTICAL SKILLS FOR A HUMAN'?]

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
[CAN IT KEEP YOU ALIVE IN THE WILDERNESS? PRACTICAL.]

Then you need to get into the habit. It's kind of important, y'know, to stay alive and stuff.

But knots are good! Those'll come in handy for all sorts of things.

Have you read those books in your pack? [She's going to become his mother at this rate.]

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
[Have a rather flat look.] I'm aware.

Yes.

[identity profile] oldestfriend.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Just making sure.

That means you know what berries not to eat! Good sign. Of course, you're going to have to take care of your Igglybuff along with yourself.

...I doubt you've ever had a pet.
