[ooc] Permissions

Seeing how Death is, well, the personification of Death, she can be a bit godmodey at times. Please fill out these permissions so that I know how far I'm allowed to go with you! I am playing her as existing in all canons, since that is heavily hinted in her own, and thus kind of knowing everyone. If you don't want me to do this, that's fine, just speak up.

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?
If you answer 'yes', then your character may have a stronger connection to Death than normal. Everyone is technically 'hers' (because she is both life and death), but if you are any of the above, you'll possibly realize who she is, what she is, etc. We can further discuss relations between her and your canon.

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?
It's alright if you like your privacy and want to say no. c: I can play that off as Lamufao restricting her influence, which is why she doesn't know stuff the locals don't want her to know, like what's in the church, etc.

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
This would mean Death doesn't know your character yet. Gods of death like Hades don't count.

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
A canon example is how Dream inspired Shakespeare to write some of his classics, like a Midsummer Night's Dream. A hypothetical example would be to say that Death and Dream together helped, in some way, to create the God Tier system in Homestuck, or at least know quite a lot about it and is something under their 'jurisdiction' as it were.

Yep! Well, kind of. (Highlight for spoilers though idk how well this font works on this background:) Also as the Messiah he… kills people. Yeah. That's a thing.

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?
Fine with me, just run it by me.

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
Not… that I am aware of? |D I don't think demons count...

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
Uhhhhh. I don't think so. :T Possibly the War of Bel but I really don't think so and I'd need to clear that with castmates. |D

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?
Nope, but Ken does eventually help with the Nyx Avatar fight… just. Not yet. |D

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?
Sure, see above. |D

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
Yep! Well, kinda. I don't know if Thanatos or Nyx Avatar are actually involved in 'reaping'.

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
……… UM. YEAH DEATH IS KINDA A MAJOR CHARACTER IN HIS GAME. |D

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?
Yep! Well, in The World… I don't know if that counts… |D

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?
Sure. Tsukasa's memory is terribly spotty anyway so he might not even know that.

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
Yes and no! Skeith is the Terror of Death, but he's only a Phase of Morganna. Depending on if you take the Liminality Easter Eggs as canon, Skeith was a program designed to collect data on human emotions and reactions to death for Morganna. … But he's not actually a reaper or anything. In the real world there's really nothing like death personifications discussed. |D

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
… Considering that most of what happened in .hack//SIGN was due to Morganna going crazypants and fucking with Tsukasa, I don't think so. |D

Anthony J. Crowley ([livejournal.com profile] scaresplants)
Namine ([livejournal.com profile] colorme_in)
Yomiel ([livejournal.com profile] theothersissel)
Nikola Tesla ([livejournal.com profile] vampirize)
1.Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?
Crowley- Never died since he's immortal, but he knows the Four Horsepeople of the Apocalypse and is a moderately powerful demon.
Namine- Never died in canon.
Yomiel- Out of all my characters, he has the strongest connection to death, seeing as he died when a meteor fragment pierced his heart and then turned into a sort of Schrodinger's Cat person that is stuck between life and death. No matter what he does now, he can't ever die.
Nikola Tesla- Even though he is a vampire, he never died in canon.

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?
Yep, she can know anything about anybody I play. :)

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
The only one this applies to Crowley, who knows Death as one of the Horsepeople of the Apocalypse. Death in his world is basically a skeletal motorcycle rider who SPEAKS LIKE THIS.

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
Crowley- Since he already has a version of Death in his world, maybe not.
Namine- No one ever dies in Kingdom Hearts, so no?
Yomiel- His fiancee killed herself, leading to him going mad over a period of ten years. Also, he helped kill a little girl's mother by basically making a murder machine. There are a ton of deaths in his canon which she could have played a part of. >>
Nikola Tesla- One of his colleagues, John Druitt, became Jack the Ripper and killed tons of women. Maybe she had a hand in that?

For everyone!

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?

Muraki: Canon is vague about if he died by Kyoto Arc but I'm going to be vague and say he was on the verge of death.
Luka: Nope!
Mukuro: Nope!
Mokona: Also no!

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?

Muraki: Oh sure~ He's had his fair share of dealings with death.
Luka: By all means~
Mukuro: Go right ahead!
Mokona: Do it. :D

Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?

Muraki: Yup. Pan plays one of em. XD
Luka: So far, no... but there is a distinct hint of there being an afterlife.
Mukuro: Nope!
Mokona: Well, I'm sure there are shinigami in the Holicverse but there haven't been any that have come out in canon. Let's just say Death could show herself as a Death persona and Mokona would be able to sense that?

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?

Muraki: o.o I'm not sure.
Luka: Well, his father was brutally murdered by angels. Have fun with that.
Mukuro: Also have to confirm with the YYH cast on this one.
Mokona: The canon point I took him from is before Yuuko dies so IDK.

Minato Arisato | Persona 3

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?

Yes, yes, and yes. OKAY WELL. When he was 6 his parents died in an accident and then the embodiment of Death itself was shoved into his head, where it chilled for 10 years. Yep. So there is that little tidbit.

Also yeah he is dead now; he recently died in canon.

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?

A-okay by me! She can know anything about him. :|b

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?

A little tough. There are...a few. [Bad username or site: derparcana title= @ livejournal.com], for one, but. He isn't technically death, but rather the harbinger of the coming of Nyx, who also isn't technically death. ...it's complicated.

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?

Ummm. Everything in P3 is rather contrived, so I can't think of anything off the top of my head. But we can plot something if it comes up, of course!

And if you have any questions, feel free to hit me up at carriwitchets. |D <3

Selphie: Yes! Maybe she knows that she died in Vath?
Faye: Faye was kept in a freezer for like, 60 years or something so...yeah.

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
Selphie: Naw, mate.
Faye: Nopes.

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
Selphie: Hmm...Good question. Maybe..something to do with that whole Laguna/Squall stuff? Iono. You choose!
Faye: Heck yes. In Cowboy Bebop there's all sorts of crazy stuff going down - memories of dead people everywhere. So...probs!

Joshua: Yes, he's the Composer. Technically, he's alive and dead, but whatever not the point.
Haruka: She died, like Minato Arisato did.
Dash: She's not dead! :D
Kurama: Also not dead, but he's a demon, so I don't know how that'll go down.

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
Haruka: Yes, Death was inside of her for 10 years, and Death is Ryoji/Pharos in her world.
The rest: Nope.

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
Joshua: Not off the top of my head.
Haruka: Most likely in her decision to protect the world in her death.
Dash: LOL Don't think so in pretty pony land, unless Faust throws it out the window for me. XD;
Kurama: Maybe indirectly pointed him in the direction of not killing his human mother after being reborn as a human and healed?

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?
Well, the Noah clan are technically classified as human, but they're aren't dead per se. When they became Noah, their "humanity" died, so maybe? She's killed hundred, if not thousand of creatures and humans, for her own enjoyment. Almost 35 years before DGM begins, Rhode saw the massacre of her own family by the 14th's hand. She nearly died, if not was severely injured, during the Noah's Ark Arc.
Do any of those count? 8|a

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?
Sure! Since Rhode holds the memory of "Dreams", Death could sense that. As for everything else, it depends on the circumstances. So, feel free to ask.

3. Is there a different personification of Death in your character's canon?
Nope. The Noah cause death and destruction.

4. Strange things happen in the Sandman universe because of the Endless. Is there anything in your canon that you think Death may have had a hand, indirectly or not, in?
I don't know. It could be possible? It would explain some of the odd events in D.gray-man, such as the appearance of a 14th Noah. Still, I'm unsure. If not, I'll wait until Hoshino gives us an explanation. (Considering her track record, we may never get an explanation)

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar? Yes, John has died once in an alternate timeline and once in the alpha timeline in order to ascend to the God Tiers. Technically, he has died a third time, but in Vatheon took him before he reached that point in his timeline.

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to? Fine with me.

I'm only gonna answer this with Kanda, since I dunno how long Lyn and Ami will stick around.

1. Hell yes. Kanda's died too many times to count, even though his body keeps dragging him back. Does this mean he gets to know who she is right away?

2. Totally and completely yes. It'd be kind of strange if Death didn't know everything about Kanda, considering it's pretty prominent in all the things he's done and will do.

3. No. Not that I'm aware of, anyway.

4. I could...write a whole essay about how I think such a character might have influenced D.Gray-Man canon, especially Death. Do you actually want me to do that?

Frederic Chopin | Eternal Sonata
1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar?
Kind of a complicated question. Technically Frederic is on his deathbed and pretty much minutes from dying in the real world, and so he thinks everything he's experiencing is the last dream he's ever going to have (and it's debatable whither it's actually a dream or if he's in another world). Physically at Vath, he's fine but slightly sickly; mentally, he's made peace with dying. Sort of.

2. Technically, Death is everywhere all the time. That is one of her abilities. Would it be alright with you if she knew things a normal person wouldn't be able to?
Fine with me.

Hell, his canon pretty much screams for some Endless to fuck around with him - though probably with Dream more than Death. Still, the potential's there.

Yep, she can creep on Eridan till her heart is content.

Not exactly an entity, though it's more represented through dream bubbles which seems to play out memories and happier times for the deceased.

Definitely the dream bubbles, considering that when they die, that's where they go. It's their version of the afterlife.

1. Has your character died in their canon, whether they were revived or not? Is your character a shinigami, god of death, or something similar? Soul Eater canon is confusing as anything. Kid is a "fragment of law", so some like little half-formed death+order god or something.
